About Us

Marybeth has been accessorizing rooms for the last eight years as  a working artist.  She has designed home decor and accessories, as well as created custom artwork for nurseries and children's rooms.  An early love of decorating and design inspired Marybeth Barrett to pursue a career as an interior decorator. Her artistic talents and experiences quickly steered her toward redesign, staging and color, the three areas on which she focused her education.  re:Design is located in Winston Salem, NC.

Marybeth has always had a passion for anything and everything creative.  She loves to master new techniques and projects all the time.  She continues to take a variety of continuing education and art classes to help learn new skills, as well as improve on her existing talents.  Her motivation is to create jaw-dropping room transformations and one-of-a-kind original accessories personalized for each of her clients.  And her vision is to provide affordable yet custom and unique interiors to her clients.  Addressing Spaces was created to transform the appearance of your rooms into something you–and she–can be proud of!

Her credentials and certifications include certification by The Society of Decorating Professionals (SDP) and The Custom Home Furnishing Academy in the specialty area of Interior Redesign, Real Estate Staging, and Color Specialist.  She received her formal training with internationally known decorator, trainer, speaker, and editor, JoAnne Lenart-Weary.  JoAnne has appeared on HGTV's 'Decorating Cents', and is a weekly guest on WJET-TV, an ABC affiliate which has dubbed her the 'Queen of Decorating.'  Marybeth is a contributing writer and guest author on The SDP Decorating Voice Blog.
